Erasmus+ Programme
The previous phase of the Erasmus+ Programme ended in 2020. With a budget of €26,2 billion, Erasmus+ 2021-2027 offers more mobility and cooperation opportunities than ever before. Information about the new section can be found on the website of Erasmus+.
Erasmus+ is the EU Programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe. The 2021-2027 programme places a strong focus on social inclusion, the green and digital transitions, and promoting young people’s participation in democratic life.
Education, training, youth and sport are key areas that support citizens in their personal and professional development. High quality, inclusive education and training, as well as informal and non-formal learning, ultimately equip young people and participants of all ages with the qualifications and skills needed for their meaningful participation in democratic society, intercultural understanding and successful transition in the labour market. Building on the success of the programme in the period 2014-2020, Erasmus+ strengthens its efforts to increase the opportunities offered to more participants and to a wider range of organisations.
It will also include DiscoverEU which offers 18 year-olds the possibility to get a European rail pass to travel, learn from other cultures and meet fellow Europeans.
The Programme is a key component supporting the objectives of the European Education Area, the Digital Education Action Plan 2021-2027, the European Union Youth Strategy and the European Union Work Plan for Sport (2021-24).
Who is Erasmus+ for?
Erasmus+ is a very wide programme, covering a diverse range of actions. Erasmus+ offers mobility and cooperation opportunities in higher education, vocational education and training, school education (including early childhood education and care), adult education, youth and sport.
How to take part?
You can apply as an organisation and an individual as well. For more information you will need to check the specific action that you are interested in to see the criteria you should meet. Erasmus+ brings such opportunities to all - students, staff, trainees, teachers, volunteers, adult learners, young people and young workers as well.
If you are looking to take part by yourself, it’s likely that you will need to apply through an organisation such as your university, training centre, company and so on.
If you are an organisation looking to apply for a project grant or call for proposals, read the registration steps you need to take first. You should also check the list of programme and partner countries. If you are planning an Erasmus+ project and looking for a partner institution from Hungary, please check the partner search database here.
