Students at Risk Programme for students fleeing the war in Ukraine

The Students at Risk Programme is launched by Tempus Public Foundation in the frame of the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme.

The aim of the Programme is to provide higher education scholarships supporting the students in continuing their studies that they started in Ukraine and earning a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree in Hungary.

All applications shall be submitted through the online application system of Tempus Public Foundation.

For international students with third-country citizenship the application period ended on 30 April 2022 – 23:59 CET.

For Ukrainian citizens (including those with dual citizenship, except for Ukrainian-Hungarian dual citizens) the application deadline is now extended until 31 July 2022 – 23:59 CET.

As of 1 June, secondary school students with Ukrainian citizenship are also eligible to apply (only in case they have or will have obtained their secondary school graduation certificate by 1 September 2022, see details in the call).

The application is open to those students as well who finish their bachelor or master’s degree at a Ukrainian higher education institution and would like to continue their studies on a higher level.

The scholarship holders are entitled to a tuition-free education, a monthly stipend (HUF 43,700 at bachelor’s, master’s and one-tier master’s level and HUF 140,000/180,000 at doctoral level), accommodation contribution or free dormitory place, and medical insurance.
