Currently South Ural State University consists of 7 Institutes and 3 High Schools. University sucessfully conducts research and development, SUSU offers opportunities for development of dundamental and applied research. At university there are 26 scientific-educational centers and labs. University holds leading positions on the international research market in such areas as Aerospace, engineering, supercomputer engineering, human and life sciences. Since October, 2015, the university is a participant of the project "5-100" on competitiveness enhancement of the Russian universities. The outstanding performance for excellent teaching and research consistently proved by our presence in global university rankings: QS-BRICS and QS-EECA - 151-200.

SUSU is keen to develop new collaborations for:
- research projects,
- students exchange,
- academic exchange,
- joint educational programmes,
- annual summer schools.
